And after you see what this man truly believes, you might too.

I'm just a regular Ferndale resident. I never thought I would build a website. But after years of watching Jim McLuckie post his... opinions... online, for everyone to see, I could no longer stay silent.

The man is running for City Council. He believes he should have a say in our streets, our schools, our budgets. And so the voters of Ward 3 deserve to know what he actually stands for. In his own words. From his own page. Receipts attached.

Keep scrolling. It gets worse.
"Every child in Ferndale deserves a hot meal at school. Period."

Do you really want someone with opinions like THIS on Ferndale City Council?

What follows are unedited posts from Jim McLuckie's own Facebook page. Read them yourself. Decide for yourself whether Ferndale can afford a man who thinks like this.

Case file № 001 · re: SCHOOLS

He wants your tax dollars to feed other people's children.

In a March 14th post, for everyone to see, Jim McLuckie called free school lunch a "right." Not a benefit. Not a program. A right. And he said it without flinching:

Every child in Ferndale deserves a hot meal at school. Period. It's not a "handout." It's a goddamn meal for a kid. We can afford it. We just don't prioritize it. That's a choice we're making, together, every budget cycle. Time to make a different one.
"goddamn"?! is THIS the language you want representing YOUR ward?
Case file № 002 · re: POLICING

He says cops don't make us safer.

You read that correctly. On April 18th, Jim McLuckie wrote, publicly, that "cops don't make us safer." A statement so dangerous, so radical, that we feel compelled to share it in full so the voters can judge for themselves:

Cops don't make us safer. Neighbors do. Sidewalks do. Libraries do. A roof over your head, a doctor you can afford, a school that's not falling apart. Those make us safer. I'm tired of paying more for a 1980s answer to a 2026 problem.
a roof over your head?! sidewalks?! is this man even SERIOUS?

And there's more. So much more.

Below: dozens more posts. In his own words. Decide for yourself if Jim McLuckie is the kind of man you want voting on your behalf at Ferndale City Hall.
